The Witcher IV — Cinematic Reveal Trailer

“There are no gods here, only monsters.”

During my recent journey with Platige Image, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the amazing Witcher universe. Together, we created a six-minute cinematic trailer for CD PROJEKT RED's highly anticipated upcoming game, The Witcher IV, entirely in Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.

As someone who grew up playing The Witcher and The Witcher II, and later The Witcher III, this project holds a special place in my heart. It’s a dream come true to contribute, even in a small way, to something that shaped my childhood. It also feels deeply rewarding to support a company from my own country.

Working in Unreal Engine 5 was an eye-opening experience, giving me a broader perspective on the industry and its exciting future possibilities.
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the exceptional talents and guidance of our amazing team. Huge thanks to our Art Director, Karol Klonowski, whose vast knowledge supported every team member - making this project wouldn't be possible without you. And to our Lighting Lead, Mateusz Sroka, who made navigating such a new technical environment significantly easier.

I had the pleasure of working together with Paweł Szklarski as a Senior Shot Lookdev and Lighting Artist, delivering various lighting treatments throughout the development process. In our talented and collaborative team, we constantly shared tips, tricks, and approaches, ensuring the best possible outcome.
A big shoutout to the entire lighting team: Michał Pancerz, Marcin Jóźwiak, Krzysztof Olszewski, and Michał Witek. Special thanks to Andrzej Augustyniak, our Unreal Technical Director, for his invaluable daily support.

Finally, thanks to the fantastic leadership and coordination of:
Miłosz Cieślikowski-Ryczko – CG Supervisor
Tomek Suwalski – Director
Magdalena Rudnicka – Producer
Karolina Mich – Project Coordinator
It’s been an incredible journey, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.
